You begin your magical holiday today as you board your flight to Kenya - the heart of African safari!! On arrival into Jomo Kenyatta International Airport you are met by a KWT Airport and then proceed to Lake Nakuru National Park with packed lunch from Nairobi. Lake Nakuru lies in the volcanic Rift Valley. The 160 km’s drive from Nairobi to Nakuru passes through the most spectacular view of the Great Rift Valley. From the top of a steep forested escarpment, the road descends into an area of dry bush, where Volcanic cones rise from the bed of this dry “trough”. Longonot is a dormant volcano 9,102 feet high and the crater has a depth of 590 feet. The other volcano, Suswa, is extinct. These are the only two “cones” of some note. Arrive at the park in the evening with a game drive enroute to the lodge. Meals and overnight at Sarova Lion Hill Lodge. (LD)

More than 60 species of animals are found here and countless bird species, this includes the masai ostrich and the secretary bird.
