  • Hahndorf is classified as Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement and each year thousands of people, young and old, enjoy its charm and the hospitality. Hahndorf is the jewel of the Adelaide Hills and one of South Australia’s most popular towns. A mere 20 minute drive from the Adelaide CBD, Hahndorf can be easily accessed via the Southern Eastern Freeway. The town is immensely popular with visitors from all over the world as well as locals and many premium businesses have set up their shops in this iconic town.
  • Cleland Wildlife Park ‐ Cleland is a great place to bring a picnic or have a barbecue and spend the whole day. If you don’t have that much time, we suggest allowing at least two hours to explore the park. This will give you enough time to stop and feed the animals, listen to one of our keeper talks, and stroll at a leisurely pace.
    Open from : 9.30am – 5pm every day (except Christmas Day or days of catastrophic fire danger). Entry gates and aviaries close at 4.30pm. The park is only 20 minutes from the Adelaide city centre, at 365 Mount Lofty Summit Road, Crafers. Take the South Eastern Freeway to the Crafers exit, then follow Summit Road to the Cleland turn off. Free car parking is available.

Kangaroo Island is a haven for Australian wildlife, which exists in its natural habitat without the threat of introduced predators. Listen to the distinct sounds of the native birdlife as they chorus from the tall eucalyptus trees. Kangaroo Island is home to some 250 species of birds, many of which, through isolation from the mainland, have developed their own subspecies and are therefore unique to Kangaroo Island. As you travel the island keep an eye out for echidnas, wallabies, reptiles and wildflowers.

  • Transfer to Cape Jervis to board the SeaLink’s ferry at 8.00 am for the 45 minute crossing to Kangaroo Island (Penneshaw).
  • Visit the Island Beehive – Clifford’s Honey Farm for a tour and tastings of the organic Kangaroo Island honey, which is world renowned for its quality and purity. You will also have an opportunity to sample homemade honey ice‐cream and honey beauty products.
  • Travel onto Vivonne Bay Bistro located on a 260 hectare bush property, for a delicious two course lunch.
  • Visit the spectacular Seal Bay Conservation Park, for a guided walk along the beach. This bay is home to a healthy Australian Sea‐lion colony. Walk among Australian Sea‐lions as they bask on the beach or among the sand dunes after their extensive fishing expedition. With your guide you are able to stand at a safe distance to these wonderful endangered creatures and hear them sigh and watch them at play. This is a truly unforgettable experience — one that you will treasure forever.
  • Your tour will then visit another amazing wildlife attraction, the fascinating “In‐Flight” Birds of Prey display, an interactive and educational display of native Australian birds and raptors. From here you will travel to Kingscote to watch the pelican feeding and learn a little about these fascinating and ancient birds, before being transferred to your choice of overnight accommodation.

  • Touring begins at Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, an interesting bush engineered eucalyptus distillery that makes the most of its environmental resources.
  • After testing and tasting the eucalyptus products, travel to the centre of the Island to the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park where you can feed kangaroos, have your photograph taken with a koala, and enjoy a guided tour of the park.
  • Travel to Hanson Bay Wildlife Sanctuary to look for Koalas nestled up in the eucalypts, and then travel to the western most part of the Island, Flinders Chase National Park, where you will enjoy a scrumptious two course lunch at Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat.
  • After lunch and a short stop at the Flinders Chase Visitor Centre, travel through the park and learn about its unique trees and plants. See the rugged southern coastline, and enjoy a walk around Remarkable Rocks, providing spectacular photographic opportunities, before continuing on to Admirals Arch, where the boardwalk takes you down a rugged cliff face to reveal this spectacular arch, a natural nursery and safe haven for playful Long‐nosed fur seals that can be seen swimming and playing in the waves, or resting on the rocks.
  • There is a possibility you will see more wildlife on your journey back to Penneshaw, where you will join the ferry and coach for your return transfer to Adelaide.
